22 Comments on Hurricane Preparation-NAH Not Me I've Got Something Better To Do
I hope that all of you stay safe these next couple of days! Being prepared is always the key. Irene just passed by me in Saint Augustine Florida with lots of wind and rain but no real damage. I hope that you all will be as lucky!
Having lived through many hurricanes I must say that they are to be taken seriously! Hope you are safe and remain high and dry!!! Positive thoughts coming your way.................
Michelle-since the storm has been downgraded slightly I'm hoping everyone along the coast line is safe and damage will be minimal.
Sheila-I helped bring in the pool furniture at our community pool late yesterday. And my one potted tomatoe plan is spending the day inside. Hope you stay safe and dry.
Diane-After leaving on an island for 3.5 years I learned how to prepare for bad storms. I hope everyone is prepared and if the worst doesn't happen at least they'll have basic supplies for the future.
Barbara Jo-my brother in FL called to make sure I had my supplies lined up. You do have plenty of experience in dealing with wind and rain from storms.
That's dedication. Wonder if they will blame their slice on the wind?
Cindy, we were hoping to get some rain, the sun is shinging, nice breezy day, but no rain yet. And, we really need the rain everything is sooooo dry. Stay safe!
Cindy The storm is headed up here to Philadelphia My sister has given me strict instructions from Florida on how to prepare for a hurricane .I am 3/4 prepared. Earthquakes and now a hurricane .I must admit I am getting a little nervous .Stay save

Pat-I noticed one person obviously was in the woods. Really you want to play in this rain?
Rebecca-I'm not sure we are going to get hit as bad as originally projected but I'm ready.
Hannah-be careful. It's been a crazy week and I know lots of folks are a bit on edge.
Haven't looked at a map, but hope Woodbridge is well inland. If not, those golfers could be asking for trouble.
Brad-we are now starting to see the rain and wind. I live a block off the Occoquan River so we are waiting to see how the boats in the marina fare.
Cindy - hopefully you will not be affected - I am praying that the news media is making more of it than it really is - but glad you are prepared if it turns bad.
No Fear.
They are obviusly not worried and think they know better than the authoriities.
Cindy, sure hope they did not make a mistake! That hurricane looks dangerous!
Louise-just did a post storm survey of the neighborhood. Not even as bad as some of our normal thunderstorms. No damage other than a few tree branches.
Judi-and they were right. We escaped any damage.
Joan-it was tough for the beach cities but inland we didn't have any issues.
