The last film James Dean ever played in and the one that won him the posthumous Academy Award, Rebel Without A Cause, is scheduled to play at Koka Booth's Movies by Moonlight on September 2nd. To younger generation, this movie doesn't mean much. To others, it is a classic from the 50's with James Dean starring as the bad boy from a good family.
After being in trouble elsewhere, Jim Stark (James Dean) and his family have to move and start over again in Los Angeles. Jim feels he must prove himself since his relationship with his peers and own family are not the best. He gets involved in knife fights and chickie runs before running away with his girl Judy and his friend Plato. The story tells about the inarticulate frustration and rage of three teenagers.
The cost is $3, blankets, chairs, and picnics are allowed. Bring the whole family out to experience the classic story.
