I agree with you on this one. If you listen with sincerity, you are more apt to get the lsiting.
Hi, Bonnie -- great quote -- thanks for sharing. I agree, because people can generally tell when you are sincere and genuinely concerned. If you are just going through the motions, as a service professional, you might as well hang it up.

The quote was referring to already having that appointment and it was focused on "listening" rather than the mind frame focused on "listing".
Here we do a lot of advertising via local home and HOA magazines and mailings to get those appointments. We aren't allowed to door knock in most of our gated communities so we mail instead.
Keep in mind that if you ever have clients interested in investing in property here in the Desert we offer a high referral/finder's fee. We have a lot of Canadian buyers here in the Desert.
