26 Comments on Speechless Sundays - Hurricane Irene: Big Surf on Cocoa Beach, Florida
Maggie - You too!
Gary - We missed this one but the season is now in full gear. Who knows?
Dodged a bullet there. Outof a bad storm, at least some people got some recreation from it.
Can't believe that many people were on the beach! Thanks for the video!
John,
You guys are pros at this hurricane thing, we're amatuers...and it showed.
Rich
GREAT video, John! You can feel the local energy emanating from it.
I love Dire Straits. . .I have a couple of their CDs in my car stereo. My favorite tunes, "The Bug" and "It All Depends on You."
Rich - We were worried for a while but we got lucky. I feel terrible about the destruction up north.
Sherri - Everyone wanted to see the waves and for the most part they're pretty vigilent.
Rich - I was raised in Canada and didn't have to deal with these things. I don't think even long time Floridians can call themselves pros when it comes to dealing with Mother Nature :-)
Hi Myrl - Beach people are all a "little bit" crazy :-) The Dire Straits tune seemed to fit the mood but I was shut down. I think Surfside Johnny is better anyway :-)
Hi John, I guess it's windy but warm there on the Florida coast.
Ted - It's in the 90's every day and the humidity adds another 10 dgrees. You get used to it and work around it. I don't go for my bike ride until 6 or 7pm.
Surfside Johnny, GREAT JOB with this video! You captured the moments perfectly. Maybe next time I am at the Sandbar we'll run into each other. Keep up the great work!
☂ John, thanks for sharing your experience when using the 'wrong' music. Hope you were able to follow Debb Jannis series on adding music to video.
Great job getting the right music to a great video.
Pamela
Thanks Sandy - I can't believe we haven't bumped into one another either. Maybe next time !
Pamela - I'll have to check out Debb's blog. Sony Vegas gives you cheesy tunes to add so I'm on the hunt for good royalty free music.
John, Great video and thanks for sharing! You are getting very good with the camcorder!
Thanks Keith - It's a learning experience. The editing software is amazing!
I am glad they it missed you guys...FLA gets pretty beat up all the time.
Sussie - We've been lucky so far and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
