Speechless Sunday

Manhattan Island has many beautiful churches, and I took this photo yesterday, the day before the skies clouded up and Tropical Storm Irene graced us with her presence.

And I'm entirely sure which church this is.  I believe it's Riverside Church, on the upper West Side.  And look at that blue sky!  Who'd of thunk a big old hurricane was on it's way to huff and puff over New York City.  At any rate, I'm sure this steeple has weathered many storms.

There is so much amazing architecture in this city.

I could live here again really easily!

Indeed, Pat.  Love this one! Hard to believe a fierce storm was just hours away!

The skies were that blue right before the big storm? Amazing!

Is that Riverside Church or Cathedral of Saint John the Divine? Awesome!

Now that is pretty impressive! I have not been to New York since I was in elementary school, so any photos of the city are new to me!
