RSS feed Readers

By
Real Estate Agent with 8Z Real Estate

I am building a site and on which I would like to have an rss reader which will post news about certain search phrases or keywords.  Does anyone have experience with this type of tool and is it something I can expect to have accomplished relatively easily?

From a SEO standpoint I'm under the impression that if it is an XML feed then the content of the reader will help my rankings

Bob, It will help but I do not know how to install it from scratch. I am with Poin2agent.com for my website and it was an option in edit to add to any page of my site. When reviewing hits to my site I ocasionally see the search terms that came from the installed reader. Good Luck.....

Inman News http://www.inman.com/has a FREE RSS feed, as do many other big sites focused on real estate.  Usually you get the code and then cut and paste it where you want it.  With point2agent.com it is VERY EASY to use.  Email me if you still need help.

Great posts Doug and Jennifer,

However, What I am seeking is a reader that has a built in search criteria and will compile feeds from a variety of sources.  Both of the readers you mention are the standard readers that do not assist with content building.

for example:

One reader that will compile feeds with keywords: Highlands Ranch Homes For sale, Highlands Ranch Real Estate, Colorado Vacations, Douglas County Schools, Bob Maiocco, Thunderridge Football, etc...

Then on my site all of these feeds would come up in a spiderable format and improve my search engine rankings while also providing robust and meeningful info to visitors.
