Can the For Sale Property be This colourful and Still Totally Saleable?

Colour and the ‘for sale’ property can make for a stormy relationship at times. For maximum buyer appeal neutral seems the only way to go.
But, neutral colour schemes often tread a very fine line between being fashionably subtle and sensationally boring.
So, is colour the enemy of the for sale property?
Let’s take the rooms pictured below. Both rooms are the work of a professional designer who specialises in interior colour. The first image (a basement) is perhaps closer to a neutral colour scheme than the master bedroom below it.
But for me personally the two rooms ‘work’ despite the strong colours. As a buyer I think the polished finish in these rooms stands out above the colour scheme. The colours used here are not so much about the individual colours; but the relationship between the colours. And in these rooms it’s a harmonious relationship. I’ve heard it said that there are no bad colours, just bad colour relationships.
My question is; do today’s house hunters dislike rooms with colours schemes like these? Would they really bypass a master bedroom or living space like the ones you see here for something plainer no matter how polished the room looks? I wonder if the rooms might help the house stand out for all the right reasons.
