It was a great Sunday for showing properties with views here in Maine to our buyers from out of state. They came up to look at land with mountain and lake views. We found some fantastic buys. One thing we have to consider when showing property to folks from out of state is to remember they might not be used to back roads in the woods. We really don't live far from the towns and the services, but it must look like that when we take the short cuts to get from here to there. The poor woman was so unsure as to what direction we were traveling or where one property was in relation to a lake or highway. We sent them home with two properties they were most interested in. Today we sent them information regarding the property along with mapping it from the highway they came off of in order to get to our office.
It is important to let them know they are safe and we really know where we are while turning this turn and that corner.
Then yesterday , Monday, we showed another couple properties along some of our fantastic Sebago Lake and other lakes. The husband enjoyed the whole time and they both loved the foliage along the drive. The wife enjoyed seeing the properties, but also was overwhelmed with the woods and the back roads. We had to explain road associations, etc.
I am writing this blog to remind all of us, that those who come to our cities and towns to purchase property, need to feel they can trust you and know they are being well taken care of. I make sure we have several emails going back and forth to discuss properties which might fit what they are looking for, so they don't have too many to view while up here looking. They like that, and I like the fact that most of the guess work was taken care of before they come to visit our state. This can happen with only a few emails or many.
The foliage is at peak and about to be blown away from the winds. So come on up toE Maine if you want to see it before it is all gone.
Have a great week.
