The Art of FriendSHIP Through ActiveRain

Norma - I love what you wrote. I'm waiting for my buyers to meet me at my office right now and while I'm waiting, I'm playing catch-up in the RAIN. How apropos it is that to read your comments, "just 10 minutes of social interaction (and yes, FB and AR count) releases endorphins in the brain and makes us feel better for hours." Norma, your timing is perfect! Sleepless in Texas really appreciated that and it's true - I am feeling like I am receiving an Adrenalin boost just because I'm getting to read the words of so many wonderful people who suggested, read, or took the time to care enough to write back. FriendSHIP gives a person the RUSH they need to sail through rough waters or just to relax those muscles just enough to make you stronger! You ARE a gift and a treasure!

Laura - Friends encourage friends to become better. Because of you and those who maintain friendSHIP we all gain strength, courage, respect and admiration from afar. Thank you Laura!

Sherri - That ship that was taken several years ago in San Diego is strong like good friends. To me, it appears to be bold, courageous and determined! With good friends, we can go further in life. ActiveRain is the vehicle that keeps us bonded! Thank you.  

Krista - I hope you're feeling better. We all feel better when true friends show they care. I care about you. That was so kind of you to get on ActiveRain when you weren't feeling your best and to provide feedback. I'm glad you found your way to this post, surrounded by caring people, I hope we were ALL a comfort to you. Friends make great pick-me-ups! Thank you Krista!

Roy - thanks for the lovely flowers. They exhibit beauty, the beauty that comes from your soul. You are an icon and well respected here in the RAIN. Friends are like the flowers that bring us joy. Thanks Roy - you spread a lot of joy and happiness to ALL!

Joshua - You are right about that! That bond of friendSHIP also keeps us grounded and motivated. Good friendSHIP inspires others to reach their highest potential and go much further. Your photographs from around the world are truly an inspiration and causes me to pause... Without friendSHIP life is empty or feels like something is missing. Thank you for the joy you give because of who you are.  

Sharon Lee - what a BEAUTIFUL bouquet of flowers - just like you. You are such a joy to know. ActiveRain is great because of people like you. You're always there to lift someone up, show compassion share show. Your enthusiasm, even when you have problems of your own, is electrifying. Sharon Lee  - You represent the heart and soul of the type of friendSHIP that has evolved in the RAIN. Thanks Sharon Lee!

Gary - we may be surprised to know that we may be counted on someone else's hands because they considered us a friend and we didn't even know it! Or the ones we are counting on, may not be true friends. As Benjamin Franklin says, "Be an enemy to none." Gossip is poison. Finger Pointing turns into a deadly sword. Truth, Honesty, Integrity are the hallmarks of true tested friends. You really know who your friends are when the chips are down... You're a good friend to have at KW and in the RAIN. You're someone who can be counted on and for that, I'm thankful.

Hi Chris - it's a universal message - words to live by. Thank you for your support in the RAIN. You're a good man and a good Friend to have inside and outside of AR.

John - I am so proud to call you a friend. One of your recent posts seems to exemplify what a great man you and your wife are. I just love the post called I Don't Care Who You Are, This Will make You Cry...We Let A Stranger In Our House...And A Friend Into Our Hearts and I hope everyone gets to read it. Not only are you a friend to all on ActiveRain you become friends easily, making a difference in the lives of others.

What you and your wife did really touched my heart. I know you'll never forget it either, nor will the Soldier. John, it's an honor and a privilege to know that you are here in the RAIN and you're just as good inside as you are on the outside.

That last part in the Title of your post, "And a Friend Into Our Hears," are words that take on a whole new meaning. I have read your posts and others too and isn't this what many of us do? We become invested in our AR Community because we read what they have to say and we take them into our hearts. I really, really am proud to call you a friend.

Rob - I enjoyed reading what you have to say. You are absolutely right and relationship building is what we should be skilled at because we are professionals. I don't think we'd be in the business if we didn't enjoy meeting people. The AR community is  a place where you can go to learn how to do your business better, refer people to other Realtors, ask questions, find alternative ways to doing things, share ideas and enjoy networking with other professionals. I appreciate you!

Erica - That's an excellent point. I think many people have already expressed the value of these new meet up groups and Rain Camp brings lots of people together. The webinars are great; however, meeting people face-to-face is even better. You are so right about what you said! AR just keeps getting better and better because collectively people work together to make it work!

Hi Tammy - I always appreciate hearing from you. I was a confused because this post had nothing to do with anyone or any previously written posts by Bryan. It's a post I wrote about the value of friendSHIP because of ActiveRAIN. I'm with Ben: "Be an enemy to none."

Marco - Thank you for suggesting and for congratulating me on the Feature. I am thankful for all the people who responded favorably because we are all only human and we all need friendSHIP. During the course of business, it's hard to make time for friends outside of work. Here in the RAIN we have an opportunity to enjoy each other's friendSHIP and for me, I love being on-board with all of you!

Carl & Ceil - I truly enjoy hearing from you. When you mentioned circle of friends, that was such a visual! I thought of a campfire, people roasting marshmallows, telling stories and it gave me such a positive warm glow. The stories we tell and read about is what I love the most. There's a quote by Barry Lopez, in Crow and Weasel and it goes like this, "If stories come to you, care for them, and learn to give them away where they are needed. Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive." C & C, I need you in my life, if only on AR...

Judi - life isn't always fair; still in all, "It's a WONDERFUL life." All life lessons can teach us something. What I'm learning from AR is that there are lots of extraordinary people in the RAIN and that's the power of ActiveRain.

Judith - It's the people like you who come into my life, when I need it the most. I have enjoyed your friendSHIP. You exemplify the type of culture that KW advocates. There are many brokers and Real Estate professionals that are living examples of people who do the right thing. I think kindness is the nectar of the gods which builds trust and friendSHIP. Judith, I am grateful I got to know you in the RAIN and I hope some day I could meet you and as many people on AR as possible. Thank you!

Eric - now that's the type of philosophy I can agree with! I also think the world could do away with dictators and fascism. I think the world has enough war and conflict and it would be refreshing to live in a world without politicians or attorneys. You're on to something big!!! Life is always better when you have a camera and friends! You're a great one to have RAIN or shine - you always have a sunny disposition.

Dale - what AR has taught me is to care more about the people in my professional sphere and appreciate them. I've thought about you when Hurricane Irene came around. I remember you standing in flooded waters to get the news out last spring and I was praying you weren't out there to capture Irene! I think you've been such a great friend sharing localism and teaching historical facts about the Civil War in a positive light. Thank you Dale for giving so much of yourself to all of us. You truly are a wonderful friend who understands the definition of friendSHIP! 

Steve - Short. Sweet. To the Point. That's what I like about YOU! Thanks Steve.

Dawn - Can you imagine all the happy people from AR on that SHIP in my photograph? We would sail the mighty sea. We'd see things more clearly and learn to believe that through good friendSHIP we could become wiser, more skilled, become better in our professional careers. There would be people on-board who could entertain us. I see Artists too! An array of musical talent. Groups of people would be huddled together telling stories about their past and some people would be crying. We would see stars up above and bright new stars among us, who if it hadn't been for AR, we wouldn't know at all. What a ride!!!

Larry & Sheila - I've come to know that certain people really know how to tug at your hearts and you are like that! I always look forward to seeing your lovely profile and hearing what you have to say. Your presence here on AR is always positive and welcoming! I need you in my life here in the RAIN!

janeAnne - When it comes to charisma, intelligence, artistic abilities and passion for being green - tag you're it! Thank you janeAnn. Making people happy is a gift that you have that I find inspiring. You're truly a caring person who keeps on giving. I need you in my life here in the RAIN too!!!

To tell the truth, I need ALL of you who have been so wonderful! ActiveRain is a great social network because when it comes right down to it, people make decisions about what it is they want to blog about. We have choices about what we like and don't like. Right here on ActiveRain we have some very influential people and I am honored to get to know you and call you friends. I catch good ideas and sparks of imagination from you just like when I was a kid and I caught lightening bugs. They were magical. You are like magic! FriendSHIP is a beautiful thing. Thank you.
