I had to laugh as I walked past ShowBox on 1st near Union, and saw their marquee proclaiming Hanson will appear Sunday September 4th. Although the brother boy band did well with their bubble gum sensation MMMBOP, I had to wonder how much stage time they can fill!

Admittedly adorable in 1997, the MMMBOP song received two Grammy nominations. It also created an overkill hate-fest that made Hanson a parody band. They have never come up with another hit song.

Paul Simon was an astounding event at Showbox. James was fantastic, but Hanson? Sorry boys, think I'll take a pass...

Hi Wayne~ I must admit I watched the video on YouTube before my post, and the long haired lads did have me humming along to MMMMBOP! However, that wouldn't be reason enough to pay for a ticket to see them, now ten years older with no particular body of works!
