KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge=Value. That doesn’t mean we have to be a “know it all” that just means that to all we should know what we are talking about. As real estate professionals we should always be working on increasing our knowledge to be that much more valuable to our clients. Some great resources to build your knowledge:

KINDNESS: No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves. ~Amelia Earhart

There are so many ways to spread kindness around. What have you done or are you going to be doing to make a difference? Click Here for Inspiration

KNEEL: Kneel in prayer and remember:

  • All of the people in California being affected by the fires.
  • Our troops fighting for our Country.
  • Individuals here in Active Rain who may have loved ones afflicted by illness, pain, or other unforeseen circumstances in their lives or they are personally being afflicted.
  • Whoever it may be or whatever the circumstance, just remember to kneel.

KEEPSAKE: Something given or kept; a momento

Open up your treasure chest. You just might find a memory, a bit of laughter, tears of joy or tears of sadness. Some of the things I found are:

  • First Shoes for each of my children
  • Journals
  • An engagement picture of me and my sweet husband
  • A $1 bill my husband’s Grandma gave us for Christmas one year
  • Poems I have written
  • Letters from my husband and children
  • Awards

KISS: Lean over and kiss the one’s you love. The power of a kiss will fill your heart with love and happiness. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Hi Julie:  Very nice... very nice indeed.  It is so much easier to reach over and kiss one of our loved ones while they are still with us.  Tomorrow is my Mom's birthday.  She would have been 86.  How I wish she was still within my reach.  Thanks for your intuitive writing...

JULIE:  There's a lot of great information in here.  I would like to focus on one aspect - KINDNESS.  This is the trait that I think best describes you.  Many others could learn from you how to write comments on blogs.  I have NEVER once saw your name pop up in under the MY HOME section and thought that the comment that I was about to read would be anything less than extremely kind and extremely respectful.  Your own blogs have the same quality.  We only know each other through out blogs, but I know that you are one of the kindest people around this community.  I just wanted you to know that it is greatly appreciated.  Thank you for what you give back to Active Rain, Julie.

Julie.  Darn it, Adam beat me to it and said everything I wanted to say.  So just consider this comment a ditto to his.  Oh, and thanks for referencing my Convention post as well.

ADAM: You just made me tear up. That is one of the kindest comments I've received here in the rain. Thank you so much!  I sincerely appreciate you.  Just knowing that somehow along the way the words that I've expressed, which are only from the heart have a positive effect on all the people I care about. It makes that little bit of time throughout the day golden.

BRIAN: OK, double the tears. Thank you so much!  It's easy to just be ourselves with the good friends that we have here on AR and I appreciate all the kind comments you make on my blogs as well.  You always have very genuine words to pass on.  Oh and you are welcome for mentioning the convention post.  It was a great one.

Hi Julie,
Glad to see soup is back on the menu.  Of all the K's, my favorite is kindness and as Adam said, when I think of you and see your photo, that is the word that comes to mind.

Cynthia: What a sweet thing to say.  That means a lot to me.  Kindness keeps us flowing in life with a full heart.  Yes the soup is back.  I was so behind in my blogs and on top of it, business has been quite "busy" and the Home Show.  Sheeew.  I'm glad to be able to take a deep breath. Then I'm ready for more busy.

Hi Julie:  Kindness is such an amazing thing.  Dr Wayne Dyer shares some very interesting results when an act of kindness is performed.  One act... affects three people.  When the kind deed is done, the recipient of the kind act experiences an actual change on a chemical and cellular level in their body/mind/spirit.

In receiving the kind act, they are changed... they feel a sort of warmth, and actually, what they feel is the effect of the love given to them.  The person performing the act of kindness also experiences that type of feeling.  Knowing they are being kind, and seeing the reaction in the eyes and mannerism of the receiver... changes them also on a chemical, cellular level.

But the most interesting, according to Dr. Dyer, is the effect on a "third party"... just someone who happens to "watch" the act of kindness take place.  They, too, are changed in the same way.  As I am writing this... I might even call what is being shared... as "grace."  As such, grace, kindness, love, whatever you want to call it... produces effects that actually never, ever stop being felt.  Julie... thanks for sharing...

Karen: That's why being kind and doing kind deeds feels so good. It's my high.  Thank you for sharing your knowledge.  You are such a caring lady and it shows through your writings.  We all have a lot of wonderful things to learn from you.  It's been exciting over the past few days to see your name come up.  What a positive spirit you have.

Hi Julie:   Your incredibly kind words bring tears to my eyes.  To see someone express actual "excitement" upon seeing my posts only spurs me on to share even more.  Actually, I am not very positive.  It's not easy being green... if that makes sense.  I have always kind of identified with Kermit the Frog... all throughout the years my daughter Robin and I watched Sesame Street together.

But, all I can do is try and put on my "positive face" and try to keep going.  Trust me... many days it is not easy.  I simply do what I can.  When all else fails... I try and change the only thing I have control over... me !  To all of the chemical/cellular changes I spoke of above... I add one more thing.  I only hope... as I continue... that I can bring myself to believe in it's wisdom.  The words are...

"When You Change the Way You Look at Things... the Things You Look At... Change."

Karen: These words are genuine and my heart is touched that this has made such a positive impact on you.   You have so much within yourself that is just waiting to share and with that all your optimism in life will come out.  I know it will because it's felt already.  We will all make it easier for you here. I and many others will take you my dear friend, by the hand and watch as you bloom into your own in this wonderful place.   Active Rain is one of those places where you come for knowledge, peace, inspiration, laughter and every once in a while if you choose, some debate.  For me, I surround myself by all the positive.  The things that lift me up and remind me of what really matters in life. And that would include friends like you.

Yes love does make the world go around and how simple it is to share that love.  Thank you for your wonderful comment and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
