Hello, I'm King Kamehameha!

I got a good chuckle out of John McCormack's blog post I'd like to find a good Topless Bar.    If you need a good chuckle, check out his post.

After reading his story, it reminded me of a rather embarrassing situation from my younger years.  I was sixteen and my parents took my brother and I to our first trip to Hawaii.  During our trip, we went on one of those dinner cruises.  After dinner the band fired up and there was dancing.  A nice young gentleman asked me to dance and I accepted.  The music was rather loud and he leaned into me and asked what I thought was "where are you staying?"  I replied: "King Kamehameha"

Imagine my embarrassment when he said "NO, what's your NAME!?

I've never lived that one down with my parents!   LOL

So do we just call you King now?  The last name is too hard to pronounce.

Princess Karen, the King Kamehameha Beach Resort is beautiful. I guess you were on the Big Island when you were 16.

Karen, I've got a little statue of King Kamehameha on my dresser. Just a souvenir of my 1st trip to Hawaii in 1993. Looks exactly like your photo, without the clothes.

Oh, Karen, someday you may regret sharing that little gem with us.

I just have to wait for the right moment.
