There are currently 152 East Haven homes for sale ranging in price from $89,900 to $899,900.

During the months of January-June 2011 there were 80 homes that closed.  This is a decrease of 40 home as there were 120 homes that closed during January-June 2010.

The average sales prices of the homes sold from January-June 2011 was $197,905 with an average 98 days on the market versus 190,731 for those sold from January-June 2010 with an average 66 days on the market.

The median sales price for January-June 2011 was $192,500.

The median sales price for January-June 2010 was $186,250.

In reviewing this comparison of year to year market data for East Haven CT there has been a significant decrease in the number of homes sold but there has been a slight increase in the average sales price which is a positive sign.  The $8,000 buyer credit last year is what made a significant impact on the higher number of sales last year versus this year.  A small percentage of short sales, foreclosure and bank owned sales are also a factor that is contributing to the overall average sales price.  The average days on market for homes sold this year has seen an increase of almost 30 days from the previous year.
