There is a walking path alongside the lake that is a very popular place to get some exercise (for both humans and their dogs), while enjoying a breeze from the lake.

Marathon Park is named for its location as part of the route for the 1984 Women's Olympic Marathon Trials held in Olympia.  And that heritage inspires even those of us who don't move at a pace anywhere near those marathoning women - but do enjoy such a gorgeous setting to exercise and relax.
