TURKEY TROT

I like to run some occasional races during the year to keep myself in shape. I like to see really fun races during the holidays and this one is a fairly new one. I believe it is in it's 2nd year. Running for me helps to keep the turkey, mash potatoes, and pumpkin pie off those hips! it's limited to 400 people.

Anyway, Here is the information to register for the Lake Norman Turkey Trot, Nov. 22, 2007 (RAIN OR SHINE). You can run 3.1 miles, 6.2 miles, or 13.1 miles. The family can run the 1 mile fun run or walk as well! It's a great experience so bundle up and enjoy!

There will be awards for the different age groups and t-shirts while supplies last.

You can register online at www.activezach.com and it ranges from $18 for the 5K to $50 for later registration for the half marathon. The earlier you sign up, the cheaper it is!!!

A portion of proceeds of this event benefit Sooper Kids Foundation, educating and supporting the community through youth focused fitness programs.
