The Facts are in the Stats...
I love Richards blogs. He is so funny and gives such great advice. I am hoping to learn from all of his mistakes so that no one gets mad at me here on the Rain LOL. Now since I am a NEWBIE I am wondering how do I see my own stats on AR. I have so much to learn!!!
The facts are in the Stats...
Statistics don't lie, either your post worked or it didn't work.
Here are the Statistics for my last four posts. (None were FEATURED)
The views are nice to know, but having someone see your post, is NOT the same as reading your post. Views are like passing a prospect on the street and giving them a nod, as you continue to walk.
The clicks are an indication that a prospect/member may have taken the time to at least read your post. What you have written is the equivalent of talking. While the prospect/member reading, is the equivalent of listening. A silent conversation has taken place.
The comments received represent the beginning of a meaningful conversation, which may lead to a relationship. If you don't respond, the conversation is over. A member that leaves a comment, is opening a door, that leads to their contact information and the link to their profile. A consumer comment does not open a door and they must provide contact information by email or phone.
By responding to a comment, you signal appreciation for a prospect/member reading your post. The significance of your response, indicates your level of interest. If a comment is brief, the response may also be brief. However, if the comment has substance, your response should also have substance. If it does not, you are ending the conversation and moving on.
Many members simply leave a comment to earn points, they are missing the point of commenting. It's not about gaining points, it's about building relationships.
Anyone can write a post, but not everyone gets comments.
How to get more comments on your post:
1. Write more posts
2. Write better posts
3. Pick better Titles
4. Pick better Topics
5. Post at better times
6. Become better known
7. Post to 5 groups, every time
8. Leave more comments
9. Have an impressive Profile
10. RE-BLOG posts written by popular members
11. Write a controversial post and take an unpopular position
12. Call Bob Stewart a Big Fat Turd. That happened to me.
13. Take your post out of "Draft" mode
14. Use a baby picture in your post
15. Start your post with, "I just joined Active Rain, now what?"
16. Associate with more members and comment on their posts.
17. Join and post to more Groups
18. Subscribe to more members and comment on their posts.
19. Include pictures and/or SHORT videos in your post.
20. Leave a comment on this post and RE-BLOG it. Read RE-BLOGGING and BEYOND.
