Getting New Leads in a New City, New Farm

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with RedFin

I have been in real estate for over a decade. I have not only left my farm I knew by the back of my hand I have entered a whole new world.  I really like meeting people and building a rapport with them.  I guess I still have a great deal of southern hospitality in me.  I would like any advice or any ideas for anyone who has left their old market/farm and relocated to another city. I am taking several classes with my company and board, but they all know people or have been in the same for a while. I am volunteering at many places to meet new people.  Any other refreshing ideas from someone who has been in my shoes???

Dana you might like reading “World wide rave” by David Meerman Scott. I found it helped me a bit. I feel clients use me because they like me. So I try and build up people who I meet doing things I like to do. Then focus and on the ones that really like you to help spread the word. It takes time but I feel it is the best way (At least for me). Good Luck!

John,

Thank you so much for the advice!  That took me back to the basics how I got started in the beginning. I know it works!  I am buying the book today! Have a great day!

Getting involved with your community is an excellent way to meet the public and word will spread that you give back to your community! A great thing you can do os write localism posts about local businesses, events, neighborhhods, fundraisers, etc! If you need any help, give me a call! :)))
