Where can you go to get your haircut and pick up pizza for lunch, ship a package to Alaska, drop off clothes to be dry cleaned and pick up a fancy dessert for dinner all in one stop? You can do it all in Murphy TX and live the Good Life. Maybe that’s why Murphy was voted as #27 in 100 Top Best Places to Live.
Ah the bakery caught my eye. I, as a rule, don't go for sweets, but lately that's all I want.
That one catches my eye every time I drive by but I manage to resist more than not. Thanks for your comments, Tammy.
Teral, admittedly even living in DFW for 10 years and knowing Plano, Richardson,.... had no idea Murphy existed. I had to look it up on a map. That's the point though, of this site, is to get to know our state. Great post, thank you. I'll be at the state fair in October!
Congratulations on making this list! That's great news! Murphy sounds like a great place too!
Not too many folks do know of Murphy since the zip code is Plano, it's in Plano's area in the MLS and up until recently most everyone used Plano as their mailing address. The city is really earning a name of its own the last few years. It took a big spurt after D Magazine voted it as the top community in Dallas. I'm planning on going to the fair last week in October.
Hi Maggie, it is truly an honor to get named in that list and a great place to live and work.Thank you for sharing it with me.
