When Texting Might Be A Better Choice...
When I received two different emails about this story and both stories had different authors, I was intrigued. I Googled and discovered numerous versions of the same story, all attributed to different authors.
In the interest of not infringing on anyone’s copyright I am going to introduce you to this concept. I even made up my own card (right →).
I was made aware of my own loud talking by a trusted friend. I now try to remember to cup my hand over my mouth when talking on my cell phone in public. If that’s not working, I excuse my self and exit the building.
Which person are you, I wonder? Can you easily imagine giving this card out? Is it easier to imagine someone else giving the card and you watching? Or are you the person who is being handed the card? I’m afraid I could easily be any of the three!
There are so many manners to learn regarding our cell phones. We have to remember not to type in all caps, we have to learn texting acronyms and we have to remember to use our outside voices. Okay, not so hard; but it will still require some effort.
I’m not advocating these cards; I’m telling you that the pre-printed cards are available for download on the Internet and on Facebook. It won’t be long before we may see them appearing at Starbucks.
Happy Texting, it might be a better choice!
