The way I explain it is that I got a new job after twenty five years even though I did not sign up for one. Normal is an ever changing target. I am usually on plan C because A and B have already passed by. But when you recognize this, you are ready for the ever changing new stream of rules and regs.

Richard Weisser Coweta Fayette Real Estate:
Over the last few years, the real estate business has become quite insane. What was once a fairly straightforward “cut and dried” process is now more of a free-for-all, with new rules, regulations, procedures and requirements every single day!
Clients often act surprised when we run into a “new” situation that has never popped up before. They assume that a seasoned veteran has seen and done just about everything that can possibly occur in every transaction.
If experience is the best teacher, I have learned more over the last two years than in any other point in my life. The “School of Hard Knocks” has taught me more about the real estate business than I ever could have imagined.
And I haven’t graduated yet. There seems to be a new “pop quiz” each and every day.

Cheryl,
Although I have been in the mortgage industry for a very long time, I just recently came over to bat for the other side. You can imagine for us newbies, it is sort of like being put on the rodeo bull as a toddler, instead of the cute pony! Hold on tight baby, or you are going down. Good news is that, as you mentioned, everyone is trying to make sense of this market, and you can at least be a part of the confused crowd!
The banks definitely make up rules and break them every day. It reminds me of vertigo training for pilots.
Cheryl, It's good to know you have a Plan C most don't lol
The more things change the more they stay the same.
Enjoy the day
