The Onslow County Parks and Recreation Department and Carmike Cinema 16 are sponsoring a Halloween Costume Contest and matinee movie.

It will be Saturday, October 27 at 9 AM

Location - Carmike Cinema 16 located behind the Jacksonville Mall

Cost - 2 canned food goods per person

Open to all children 12 years of age and under and accompanied by an adult

Prizes - 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded to winners in several age group.

This sounds like lots of fun and a wonderful way to benefit the less fortunate in the community at the same time, Cynthia.

I'm sure they'll have an excellent turn-out and will collect many food products for families and individuals who need support and help.

I would love to be there to see all of the little ghosties and goblins.....

Cynthia-Oh the fun.  I love this time of year and the idea of giving back to the local food bank for admissions. I hope you get to enjoy this with your little one.

We didn't make this event as we were away.  I don't  think I'll be dressing up this year since we are going to trick or treat in the neighborhood.
