Kevin,

I posted this response by where you left your comment, but I should have put it here.

Si, Just FYI - you actually have to get your points by gradual, silly, inane things like, umm, cutting and pasting (after minor re-formatting) things like hurricane strength scales, football schedules, weather updates (because - let's face it, people keep turning to AR to see where a storm might hit), etc.

You should learn from those who are successful at the 'game'. I am not as I have 40,000 odd points. However, if you were to look to someone with, say, 10X that amount, you'd notice they do it not for comments (as they generally average 2 or fewer per Blo over all their Blogs), they often do it by taking MLS data, hitting the 'statistics button' and then putting the results in little pre-made grids and repeating this 10X every week. That earns 2,250 or so per week. Then, they log in and post 10 inane comments per week, like "beautiful photo Irene, I love the way you juxtapose the cat next to your lawn flamingos." They probably hit a few friends, but they generally just bang out their 10 and move on.

You'll notice that people, even those close to us on the list, publish Google Maps, Safir-Simpson Scale, National Hurrican Center Data, quotes from other news organizations, etc. to fill up their pretty blogs - which, of course, have nothing to do with anything except that they work.

Here's what you DO NOT DO - pretend that there is freedom of expression - there is not. Do not ever argue with someone even if they are posting blatant lies about actual facts. For example, if they make a statement about when some government works project will be completed and they say, for example, "September of 2011" and you look on the actual website of the public works site and they say, "We are drawing up plans right now and working on purchashing the property from the current owners in order to start the work" and it is dated September 2, 2011 - don't ever say the person who wrote that might be wrong. They'll e-mail a complaint and, remember, like in grade school, the biggest whiner always a) gets appointed head of the class and b) wins by getting other people in trouble.

In reality - do not ever waste your time with anything educational like political philosophy, morals, ethics, etc. While there are Realtors with advanced degrees, interest in learning, and actually marketable skills other than saying, "and this is the kitchen", you might be hard pressed to find them.

But, I'm still a 'newbie' - so i'm still looking.

Instead of anything deep, I'm going to spend the week simply posting about my favorite blogger with over a certain amount of points and how they got them. It's a pisser the crap you'll see.  If you think what Josh wrote was bad, it was just goofing around.  Wait till you see the programs at work. . .

I forgot to mention that I actually thought you had a teriffic post.  You hit nails on heads - but people with three long names often don't want to hear that, especially when they have perfectly primped hair and have blogs that repeat the same info 1,000 times for 500,000 points.

Well thank you both David and Josh and feel free to REBLOG any of mine.  I know some people on AR actually get upset if you reblog to soon after they write but help yourself.  I love to see others enjoying my helpful tibbits.
