In an effort to increase residential new construction and community growth, the City of Adel has adopted a tax abatement program within its city limits. Under the terms of the plans, anyone building a home in Adel in the next few years will receive a property tax abatement on the following graduated schedule:
The effects of the new program can already be seen in Adel's Evansview development on the southwest side of town.
