Many of those AR members that we normally see at the top of the page when we login have one thing in common, they are in jeopardy of losing their homes in the Southern California fires.  It wasn't until I started reading some of the blogs about the fires today that I noticed just how many actively blogging AR members could be affected and have already moved into temporary housing, and just how widespread their friend connection is across the US.

Being fairly new to AR and not an overly "religious" person,  I don't know how "socially acceptable" it is, but I would like to start a "Prayer Chain Blog" for those members.  If you would like to join in just post your name and city/state and we'll see how far we can take it...and all of the positive thoughts being put out there for our fellow AR members and everyone else affected can only help!

I guess I have been in la la land the past week or so.  I have been so busy that I just turned on the Today show and saw the story about the fires.  I didnt even realize it was happening.  But add me to the list

Thanks Karen....we'll just "merge" them together in thought!  I didn't see it anywhere and everyone seems to be discussing it this evening. C-ya.

The SoCal wildfires are just so devastating. My step daughter and her family were evacuated from their home in Malibu this week as the uncontrolable fires bore down on the community northwest of Los Angeles earlier in the week. And then two days later my step-son and his family were also evacuated from their Rancho Santa Fe home in Norhtern San Diego County. One feels so helpless being so far away, out of reach and feeling so useless. There is nothing wrong with a few simple prayers to help everyone get through this very difficult time. I pray for everyones safety and wellbeing while many of us have loved ones experiencing this horrible event. Especially, I pray for the firefighters who are devoting their time, body and energies is getting SoCal through this period. On behalf of my family and all in SoCal, I thank you all for your prayers at this time.
