Train Service Expands in the Pascack Valley - Will This Increase Property Values?

For years I have been told that if you want great train service for commuting, then you have to move to Westchester.  Because of this, homes in Westchester have traditionally been pricier than their equivilents in the Pascack Valley area of Bergen County.

Now for the GREAT NEWS..New Jersey Transit has announced that beginning this Sunday, October 28, according to the Bergen Record, they will be adding bi-direction, off peak and weekend service.  This is very exciting, since commuters will be able to take advantage of this newly reformatted train schedule for work and recreation, including weekend service.  The Pascack Valley is indeed coming of age.

Once this train schedule sets in, it may have a significantly positive effect on real estate values.  We may indeed see values move in an upward direction due to this new and wonderful service.
