Mansifeld MA Airport 1B9 Open House Saturday Sept 10
For me, there is nothing like the draw of a general aviation airport. There is something mesmerizing about watching and listening to aircraft taking off, landing, taxing or buzzing about the pattern. I know I am not alone, because I sometimes see Mom's, Dad's or Grandparents with their kids spending some time at a picnic table waiting and watching for a plane to start up and take off or land.
For those of you who share my passion or for those of you who have never been to a Municipal Airport, this Saturday, September 10th from 10-2 is your chance to bring the family on down and get to know the local airport in Mansfield MA (also known as 1B9)
What child young or old, doesn't love airplanes? It's a family friendly event, a Fly-in of antiques, classic and home built aircraft, but there will be more to see and do including a planned kid's interactive area. Aircraft will be on display including the newest member of King Aviation's fleet, the Cessna SkyCatcher!
I hear there will be other fun things going on like, believe it or not, a "Cow chip Bingo".... (to benefit the local animal shelter)
Are you like me and turn your eyes to the sky when you hear a small plane overhead? If so, be sure to stop by King Aviation's "Learn to Fly" booth! The folks at King Aviation 508-339-3624 are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. There will two 20 minute Learn to Fly seminars that one can attend. One starting at 11 am and the other at 1 pm. Or, jump on in. First flights will be available at a moderate cost.
You might just find yourself finally sitting in the left seat!
So come on down this Saturday any time from 10 to 2 and check out
King Aviation
Mansfield Municipal Airport.

I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon! Can you? Admission is Free!
