OBAMA SPEECH THURSDAY HAS TO HIT GROUND RUNNING HARD

The President of the United States of America. It is the most powerful position to occupy here on the planet earth. On the Presidents order during 9-11, airports were shut off all over the United States down to even small towns everywhere. Now that is Presidential power at work. I want to see that POWER at work addressing people keeping their homes, in creating jobs and in moving the economy forward with gusto

ACTION PLANS THAT GO TO WORK NOW

I want to hear and be told of action plans that are non-negotiable and they will take affect immediately. I will also be watching for anyone that speaks against an action plan that is designed to help people in foreclosure and or limit job opportunities.

RESULTS DON'T LIE...SHOW ME RESULTS PLEASE

I am not interested in who runs this country as much as I am interested in the country being run correctly, efficiently and in the interests of the American people.We need leadership. We pay for it and to expect it is our right. To not get it is out right WRONG

CONGRESS DOES A GREAT RIP VAN WINKLE IMITATION

While the emperor's are fiddling, Rome is burning. When Congress fails to act or takes too many recesses, the foreclosure processes just keep going and families are seen and heard of no more. A borrower is not a criminal. Boarded up empty homes in repair is not government. It's raining its pouring Congress is snoring

LOCK DOWN ON LENDER LOSSES

I would love to see federal guidelines implemented temporarily for Short Sales making them move in 90 days or less done deal and closed. We already seen how loan modding was worthless and a waste of time. Perhaps we can make short sales shorter and more meaningful

WE SHALL SEE

Thursday we will see were the rubber meets the road and whether it takes off or skids

Richie - I am hopeful that Obama has been listening to his base and is ready to present an uncompromising plan on Thursday.  We are in need of strong leadership and we obviously will not get it from Congress.

Rich...I am optimistic....but also on record too. Rich, I often think of the unknown soldier who died for the rights that I have. I don't want him to have died in vain. I'll speak up, whatever happens after that is in Gods hands

Melissa...Prior to blogging, the guy in the street went unheard. It was the power of the press that ruled. Now, through blogging, we get to participate and have a voice too. I am using mine and leaving behind proof I was here and that I cared and where I stood...Let people do what they want with it...thank you Melissa

Melissa #2...I actually envisioned a little group of kids all holding hands dancing in a circle skipping of course singing that song outside of the White House on the lawn. Kids tell it like it is and the kid in me is singing away here. I pretty sure I can count on the kid in you too...Good one Melissa

Richie,

We shall see what we shall see.  Perhaps he has something just short of a miracle to show us that he can be a leader and not a follower. Perhaps his plan will restructure overall taxes on the country something like a flat tax or consumption tax and do away with the other taxes, and reduce corporate taxes so that corporations (I know ugly word to many) will bring their money home to the US.  Perhaps he will not try to shove his healthcare plan on us....oh, I know so much for dreaming.  Yet, perhaps he will do these or some of these things and Congress will wake up as well, go along and the bickering will stop and the American People will be put first instead of last in many cases. Perhaps he has come to realize that government really does not create jobs nor is it the job of government to create jobs, that it belongs to the American people to do the creation if they are left with the means to do so.    Yes I know too much dreaming.

Mary...I read of a slave who dreamed and one day lived it...SPARTACUS and he had Rome scared out of its mind. Putting legs on dreams is what life is all about dear Mary...If you dream for the right reasons, I say dream on.....

 

POST AFTER THOUGHT

I have to agree with my pal Rich and not to get hopes to high up. I am learning that no one likes to lose in politics and that is what this tug of war is about...losses. It is self-serving and petty and is hurting the economy with global spillover too. We took something magnificent and broke it like a arrogant child who didn't appreciate their toy

I can't for the heck of it figure out why somebody would be waiting for that speech? I mean what can be there that could be unexpected? Don't we already know his mindset, and the direction he want this country to go?

Do we expect him to change, to reform? At this point no matter what he says, it is a tactical maneuvre. Destruction direction is the same and will be the same for as long as this President is President.

Hope is a good thing....without it, people have a tendency to despair and then give up. Perhaps we will get a glimpse of leaderships's thinking...Jon..what a mess we are in
