Three Strikes and you're out -- Well, almost

holman stadium

I can't imagine Nashua, New Hampshire without its independent baseball team -- The Nashua Pride.

For several months, it looked like The Pride would not remain in Nashua.   Just over a month ago, I was sitting with owner,John Stabile, at a Nashua Chamber of Commerce event and things looked grim!  In spite of this uncertainly, last month the Pride won the Can-Am League championship!

Today The Telegraph announced that the Nashua Pride will be back!

Please support the Nashua Pride ~  buy season tickets!  It is a great family-friendly experience and a wonderful asset for Nashua.

This is a great marketing opportunity as well!  Encourage your real estate office or one of the companies you work with to become a sponsor -- or think about season tickets for a closing gift!

Hey Nashua -- Let's play ball!  Step up to the Plate and support the Pride!baseball

Who Knows, maybe one of these players will end up on the Boston Red Sox team!

Joan - I know how crazy communities gets about their sport team, however some fail to realize that they have to buy tickets to the games because that is how the clubs stay afloat.  Here is hoping everyone will do their part.

Joan, Connecticut has I believe three minor league teams, and the one closest to me is the New Britain Rock Cats, a "AA" team for the Minnesota Twins.  It is a great park to watch a game and see some of the future baseball stars before they become a star.  Glad that you guys were able to hang on to your team.

George:   Besides a great time with the family, it is exciting to see those who will rise to top!  I was surprised to learn Campella would become the New England leagues "Most Valuable Player" and  would win  3 national league MVP titles and would be elected to the  Baseball Hall of fame in 1969!

Joan -- I AM into baseball!  I love all that chewing and spitting  -- just kidding lol -- actually I love the way the players trying to sneak  to another base -- it is sort of like the dance of negotiation in real estate -- I am amazed at the focus that pitcher has!

janeAnne:  The Nashua Pride is really a part of the community in Nashua.  John Stabile worked so hard to help keep the pride in Nashua -- and it has been a difficult task.  The Telegraph editorial today said it all -- "Financially, the loss of profesional bseball in the city only would have guaranteed that taxpayers would end up footing the entire cost of the bond that helped to finance renovations to the stadium.  Civically, the loss to the city's image and quality of life would have been far greater. Joan, I love your blog.  You really give us a feeling for Nashua, not just in this post, but your others as well.  And now that Washington finally has it's own baseball team, I get it!   I just hope that their new stadium turns out to be a good thing.  I like the old RFK.
