Question to Realtors

On a scale from 1-10, 10 being the highest, how annoyed do you get when you recieve unsolicited emails from Loan Officers who are trying to partner up with you, or obtain leads from you?

I had to fire 2 Realtor Referral Partners this last month because they kept pushing me to give them kick backs! They wanted splits on the buyers they were giving me, and I said NO WAY! Not only is it a violation, but its super hard to close loans these days, all to make 1 point, and you want 30% of that!!! As my buddy Bill Engull would say "Hell Naw"

So in an effort to obtain new relationships, I have put my assistant in charge of calling all our local talent and seeing if it would be okay for us to take them to lunch. My goal is to make a production out of it, not do any type of cheesy presentation, basically not even talk about business. Just talk about common interests, and see if we are compatible.

As I learned from my wife, the best relationships start out as friends first.

So we have set up some lunch meetings for tomorrow and Friday, I was glad to hear this. The ones that couldnt meet for lunch, we asked permission to be able to send literature about us via email. If they said yes, we added their email to a twice a week auto drip campaign.

My question is: How effective are the emails being sent? When I asked my current referral partners, their response was "Do you even know how many of those we get a day?" Is it true? Do you guys get bombarded with them. Should I not do it?

Any suggestions from current Real Estate Agents would be appreciated!

Happy Fundings!

Sunny

I don't think that I pay any attention to the emails unless it is someone with whom I have met personally... then, I may or may not read the email!

I do look at the weekly emails I get on interest rates on Friday's from loan officers.  Those are the only emails I read from loan officers.  I have a rule that puts them in a file for me when I need them.  Some of these loan officers now have my business.  You have to give some value, information and news about the industry, not gimme business.
