What we've all been waiting for . . . the results of the Credit Suisse Monthly Survey of Real Estate Agents for August 2011 is just in.
Starting off with the bold . . . extremely DUH . . . statement of:
BUYER CAUTION FAR OUTWEIGHS AFFORDIBILITY
Yeah . . . I know!! DUH!
With my very astute review of the "data" . . . it's THUMBS DOWN ALL ACROSS THE BOARD with the ratings of:
-
Traffic
-
Home Prices
-
Incentives
(That's buyer "traffic" and builder "incentives")
A thorougly lovely month in August. I'm kinda hoping that all the thumb's down might have something to do with the end of Summer and people taking vacation -- because the market can, typically, slow in August.
Anyway . . . the Metro Portland Market is found on Pg. 37.
What happens when . . . Buyers begin jumping off the fence at the same time?!?!?
