A Personal Though about the Debate

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Birchwood Realty, Inc.

This is just a personal observation and self analysis I seem to be going through.  After watching the debate last evening I have to say I still am on the fence about Romney & Perry; Romney brings experience and polish while Perry bring experience and roughness.  The perception and gut feeling really has me questioning the choice I will eventually make.  I am not discussing their policies or opinions, both have weaknesses and strengths, both have ideas I agree and disagree with; I am talking about how I feel when they are expressing their policies and opinions.  I like Romney but he lacks that fire I want to feel, that "yeh, you show them" feeling.  On the other hand Perry gives me that feeling, but will he know when "enough is enough"?  Since they both stand straight, dress well and have great hair, I wish there was a way to merg them into one person.  Just a thought.

....Experience Isn't Expensive.... It's Priceless!

Good morning Lois,

The continuing debates will be interesting...it would be nice if we could merge all of the best points of the different candidates into one.  Unfortunately, one perfect candidate isn't everyone's idea of the perfect candidate (darn it all!).

Have a great day!

Perry has had a LARGER stage for a LONGER time - Mitt was a 4-year gov of a BLUE state and Perry has had FREE REIGN of a RED state for 3 terms.

I agree with Perry on Social Security and I think that Mitt has still not responded to Romneycare in MA and how it HAS NOT WORKED

Good morning, Lois.  I typically do not comment or post on political issues; however your title grabbed me and it is an interesting one.  I agree with wanting to take the best of each and blend it together for our "dream" man for the job.  It reminds me of clients I have had - they want some of this house, some of the next one....and can not find the perfect one!  Here's to the best man winning!  BTW - I am a Texan if that give you a clue.  LOL

I agree with you but really have not seen anyone that seems strong and smart enough to do the job. We have a real mess to clean up there in Washington and the next man/woman up will have to implement things that may make them temporarily unpopular in order to get rid of this extreme debt. Things will have to change and it takes a strong person to stand up and do the right thing in order to save the nation. Yes, merging them together would be nice but since that can't happen who will be the best person for the job???

I think Romney handled the Romneycare issue last night in a way I have never seen him do before...and it got it.  The one who surprised me the most was Gingrich.  He showed a side of him I haven't seen in a while.

Personal, I have had enough of smooth talkers. I like Perry's policies more, but I haven't listened enough to be fully informed.

I did not listen to the debate.  It's way to early to start picking camps.  I'm not totally sold on anyone.  No one has inspired me or made me feel they passed the job interview.  I'm tired of hearing of what "they" think I want to hear.

Like Bonnie Tyler said "I NEED A HERO".  Someone who may not be perfect but who will lead for the good of the people - not the party.

Perry gets my vote!!!!  We NEED another science-denying Governor from the Great State of Texas; after-all the last one did such a stupendous job!!

Neither Perry nor Romney gave the best answers last night. Newt gave some fantastic responses (he really needs to be the next president's chief of staff or a prime advisor) and Herman Cain, as much as the questioners tried to marginalize him, gave some great responses, even when he had to jump in.

Karl - exactly which science did the previous president deny?

Lisa - Would we recognize Perfection? At this point I doubt it; but I can still hope.

Wallace - your right, their states are very different; makes for an interesting debate.

Barbara - a little of this and a little of that - kind of like creating a Frankenstein.  At this point people might vote for that creature.

Nick - Thanks

Virginia - We need to keep Gingrick in these debates just to keep the Press in their place

Than - a lot of us are watching and waiting before we make a decision.  This is too serious a situation.

Bonnie - I wonder if a HERO would be listened to, we have become so Jaded.

Karl - Always good to have your input.

Mike - I liked Cain also last night, he packs a lot into the little time he has, and makes sense.

Hi, Lois. I won't give fodder to the left to bash my candidate with. My observation is that Perry can beat up Brian Williams with one hand tied behind the governor's back any time of day.

I think the candidate with the best hair wins, which would be either Perry or Romney. lol

I was listening to the radio on my way to work the other day and someone was saying Rubio could not be president do to some glitch in his birth, something about him not being born a citizen of this Country.  If anyone knows the facts please share them.  I happen to like him also; I think he is a rising star.

I've reserved VA's Bob McDonnell for Perry's VP * he is a RED STATE Gov who succeeded Perry as head of GOP Govs and our stte has JOBS!....as for Karl saying that Perry would be another science denier - Bush sought out MANY optinions from scientists and climate change advocates BEFORE the Global Warming Hoax was brought to light....it was DENIED for him.

Rubio was born in Miami of Cuban 'exiles.' He is an American.  What I find interesting, in a political sense, is that Rubio attends both Catholic Mass and Protestant services at one of the biggest mega-churches in Florida.   I don't know what it says about his spirituality, but it certainly says something about is political ambition.

Wallace - Bush seeking out scientific advice...too, too funny.  As if Bush would be able to understand the language of chemists, biologists, physicists, climatologists...etc, etc.  The guy couldn't even pronounce "nuclear" for Gods sake.

I don't think any of us can say anything that would make Karl NOT believe Obama is a Deity fo some kind.
He is really under the Obama spell.  If you don't agree with him you are stupid, you can't understand what he is striving for because we are so far beneath him intellectually.  It's another form of Class System; we are the surfs and should not question the Hierarchy or Dictators.  Boy are we sliding backwards.

Selective memory is wonderful isn't it?  I am basically an optimist, so I smile and laugh a lot; I have the crows feet to prove it.
