facebook

A couple of years ago, I heard about a smart agent in Vancouver, Washington who had created the page "365 Things To Do In Vancouver, WA"...

The agent leveraged the power of Facebook, and created a page dedicated to the promotion of his hometown, Vancouver, Washington.  At last count, his page had 15,960 fans...

After reading Kathy Schowe's featured post yesterday, "Best Practices 1:  Create a 365 Things to do in Your Town Page on Facebook", I knew I had to make one.

Kathy's Facebook page, "365 Things to do in the Palm Springs Area", already has over 2100 fans, and is adding 20-30 new followers each week.

Inspired by Kathy, I created the Facebook page, "365 Things to Do in Naperville, Illinois".

It will be much easier to market a beautiful city like Naperville...

Then it is to market Ken Tracy Real Estate...

The Naperville page currently has 5 fans, but I am very optimistic.  Just having the page should cause me to write more hyper-local posts, driving local readers to my website and blog.  I think it should be fun, too.

Have you started a Facebook page for your hometown yet?

Maybe today is your day to get inspired...

Ken

Ken - I lived in Naperville in the past, and I remember the riverwalk and beautiful historic downtown Naperville.

Good luck with the venture, it'll keep you on your toes and you will be the go to Naperville person. Want to know another great Facebook achievement? Doug Newby writes about Arcitecturally Significant Homes in Dallas, his following is now over 439000 followers. Now there's a challange.

Keep up the good work Ken.  I recently read that same post and decided to create the page 365 things to do in the Portsmouth NH area.  I currently have only 3 likes, but I too am optimistic!

Oh my, Ken.  This sounds like a great idea, but where do you find the time?  Wait, I think I know the answer.  One Day at a Time.  Here in Erie, PA there really are a lot of things to doAs agents we want to be the 'go to person for real estate' for the general public and what better way to do just that?

I will follow link to your page shortly.
