6th Annual Brass City Brew Fest in Waterbury CT . . Sat September 10

This Sat, September 10, rain or shine, Grand Street in Waterbury and Library Park in particular will host the annual beer fest. Admission is $35 at the gate and $30 in advance. Must be 21 years of age to enter, and designated drivers are encouraged to attend.

Dozens of brew masters and pubs will have displays.

Food vendors will be there almost as a taste of Greater Waterbury food providers and restaurants.

The Great Waterbury Board of Realtors will also have a display set up with information available on home ownership and local real estate agents, myself included, there to answer questions.

There will be musical entertainment, a car show, food, beer, and information on making beer. Tents will be set up in case of inclement weather. Plenty of parking within a short walking distance of the event

Additional information can be found on the Brew Fest Web site

Hi Ed, what a fun time and they better have some designated drivers.  The tap will be flowing.  Go and enjoy but be safe.

Good evening ED. Sounds like a fun event. I don't think I have had Bass City Beer. Must be a local micro brewery...

Wanda, it will be an interesting experience for sure. I just hope it's not an adult keg party

Hannah, with 250 different types of beers the tasting could get weak after a while

Judith, no fear for me, in my lifetime, I think I may have consumed a total of 2 cans of beer.

Michael, it's Brass City, and it refers to the time when Waterbury was known as the Brass Capital of the World because of all the manufacturing of brass that was done in this town. When plastic took over for brass, a lot of jobs went with it as well.

Jennifer send them over, the more the merrier

Ed, I just posted about a beer fest here in Huntsville featuring our local micro breweries.  These events are always a good time.  Nice localism.
