Shameless Self Promotion Tip - Another Installment

By
Real Estate Agent with The Maine Real Estate Network

Do you belong to any groups?  Do you attend any meetings?

Sure, everyone in your group may know you are a Realtor, but do they know about your valuable knowledge of the local market?  In between your busy lead generation calls, take a few moments to put together some data from your MLS (with appropriate disclosures of course.)  Perhaps put together a one page flyer with the third quarter sales data (total number of sales, average sales price, DOM, etc.)  Don't forget to include your contact information.  When you go to your next activity, group, or association meeting, be sure to pass them out and let everyone know that you have some information about the local Real Estate market that you thought might be helpful.

Good tips to work by.  Often times are sphere does know we are Realtors but do they know just where our knowledge base lies.  I would guess most of the time the answer is not.  Thanks again for this article.

Yes - this is a good one.  I do tend to print these types of reports out and have them with me, but I haven't ever thought of so shamelessly passing them out at a meeting - lol.  Thanks for the post - I need to work on that end for sure:)

Tanya,  I love your tip.  I am 18 months into real estate and sometimes am afraid to try some things because I don't want to appear too pushy.  what kind of response do you get when you hand out this info?

That is a great idea. Sometimes an idea so simple can take you a long way. I have found that people really crave details. The more you give them the more they request.

What a great suggestion---We can always do better if we just think outside the box.
