No fancy pictures or glib phrases to catch everyone's attention on this one, just a major rant on the lack of courtesy and professionalism by Realtors in Arizona. I have had a number of agents view my properties and I have contacted at ten to twelve of them to get feedback, good or bad, and NOT ONE has been courteous enough to return my call or email.

It is no wonder that our profession ranks so low in the eyes of the public. When did courtesy go out of style? On one of my posts I had one agent from Washington say that he was so busy things fell through the cracks and when I got as busy as he was it would happen to me. To that and those that think they are above common decent courtesy I say, you are just rude, lazy, unprofessioinal and a disgrace to industry.

I am pretty sure that if you can't show professionalism to a peer that you aren't doing the job with he client either because your true character shows itself by not being courteous when it doesn't necessarily benefit you. I'm not at all surprised that your business is suffering during this market.

Common courtesy NEVER goes out of style no matter how important you "think" you are or how busy you "think" you are.

I agree with you that common courtesy is lacking!  I have dealt with this time and time again and feel that if someone tells me they are too busy, I tell them than they are taking on more than they can handle and doing a dis-service to their clients.  What comes around goes around and they will be the ones suffering in the end.  I also set up an email service with my local centralized showing company and make sure that multiple emails are sent until I get a response.  Most of the time the agents get tired of the emails and respond.  Stay positive and polite (KILL THEM WITH KINDNESS).  This has worked for me many of times with other agents.

Stay positive and you will prevail!

Cynthia - Thanks so much for the positive boost. I will stay positive and hopefully find a professional agent in my dealings.
