VB, LOVE the photos...you have done so much in your life and seen so many great places already!

incredible photos....  I was on vacation in NYC in September of 2000.  As I was leaving the city to return home, I remember looking back through the cab window and seeing the Trade Center, all lit up and magnificent.  I said "Goodbye New York", not knowing the special meaning that would have for me a year later.

These are great pictures.  Having grown up in NY, I remember this well.   I even took a few depositions in the towers and had dinner there through the years.  There is a very old church next door with a cemetary dating to the 1600s.  

Thanks for posting these.  They bring back a lot of memories.

Hi Bob~ Good to see photos of the buildings standing. I went to the top of the World Trade Center thirty some years ago, strolled in Central Park, climbed steps in the Statue of Liberty, and loved my country with strength and conviction, as I do to this day.

VB, not sure how many modeling competitions you could have won with that T-shirt!!! :0)....

Your pictures almost look unreal, it's amazing looking at pictures of the WTC just how much larger they were compared to all the other buildings around them.....most of the buidlings around them were not even half their size.  That day affected countless numbers of people around the world and affected us all in some fashion..no guess on my lizard post, i guess I will have to post the answer.

Thanks for sharing your photos with us, VB. I worked in NY city when we still lived on Long Island. The WTC was being built when we left so I never got to see it.

V.B. Thanks for sharing your photos and story. It is amazing how fast time goes by but an even faster realization of what was lost.

Those are some very memorable photographs VB.  You are absolutely correct, terrorism is devestating and we are forever changed because of it.  

VB, these are very powerful photos of the Twin Towers. We are watching the replay on the History Channel. It is chilling. let us never forget the horror of that day. Let us always honor the memories of those who gave their lives and their families who remain.
