7 Comments on Move on, change the subject!
I know that a lot of people say that same thing, it can be more harm than good. Think on human nature for a moment. We like being right and proving our point. Yes, it would make the world better if we didnt sweat the small stuff and moved on with our lives. It starts with a few people at a time and grows. I guess we will see if the person will go ahead and argue the fact or use some of those inhibitory neurons to stop and move on.
Thats a great point. I completely agree with you and need to work on that myself! Thanks for the reminder!
You are so right. Trying to prove you are right can be a total disaster, especially if you actually turn out to be right. If we all learn to eliminate sweating the small stuff in our lives we will be much happier.

Being right is not always required. Point made and then as you said move on. I once was asked by someone "Do you want to be right or be happy". That has stayed with me. Lets all enjoy life.
Right on. The longer I talk, the more likely I am to put my foot (feet) in my mouth. We need to choose our battles. Good point.
Oh Jon folks who need to work so hard to prove they're right - are so much work! If it appears somebody is going down this road with me and they start going over and over and over their 'rightness' I usually will say something like ' let's agree to disagree on this one' or everyone is entitle to their opinion as are you - and me. If they keep going - well - exit stage left. Let them find somebody else to be so right with!
Bud & Beth, thank you for replying to my blog, it seems the more I use this rule, the happier I am. Hope everything's great out in Raliegh, have a great day – Jon
Teresa-I keep working on it as well, I feel the more I can apply the rule better I am, thanks for the reply have a great day – Jon
Team Honeycutt-I agree it can be a disaster if you need to prove you right, thanks for replying,
hope everything is going well, have a great day – Jon
Irene-I like being happy, caring about being right or wrong= wrong in my opinion. And I say that, because I feel in the general way, it's not about the right or wrong, it's about the fix. Thanks for replying have a great day – Jon
Mary-I try so hard to stop talking once I've made my point, and then really listen after that, and wait till all thoughts are presented before speaking again. Another great thing to be mindful of have, a great day – Jon
Anna-hope things are well in Arizona, yes that's a good thing/way to end that type of the conversation, I also like to just sort of say okay, and try to change the subject in a nice and tactful meaningful way... Hope everything's going well, have a great day – Jon
