A successful story of credit repair to become a home owner at last

I call my client Mary here.

Mary was referred to me from one of my old clients about an year and a half ago.  She wanted to be a home owner, but there was some works needed to be done on the credit part before we could buy.  I explained to Mary how and what a lender was looking for before she could get pre-approved, I told her I was willing to guide her if she agreed to work hard to improve her credit history and score.  Mary gladly accepted.

First, she needed to get a credit card to help her establish a positive credit history, and increase her score.  I gave her a link to apply for a secured credit card, told her what she needed to do, how to do it and paid her bills on time.  I was pretty much coaching her along the side.  Frankly, I was not sure if Mary would stick to it.  It was not a task or goal that could be done overnight, it took time, patience, and persistence to reach that goal.  My job was to be her coach, cheerleader, and most importantly her real estate agent.

The process started somewhere around last July, I think.  She did have some hiccups every now and then, we kept in touch all the time to keep track of the progress.  There were times Mary was discouraged when there was some set backs, but I kept encouraging her how great she was doing and told her not to give up easily.  She would go back on track and did what she supposed to do again.

After an year, Mary finally reached her goal.  She can buy now!  I am so excited for her, most of all, I am so proud of her. She worked so hard to improve her credit history, credit score, willing to keep moving forward, didn't give up.  She deserves to be bragged about.

It may take Mary a while before she can buy, but she is willing to do what she needs to do and sticks to it.  She is not just only improving her credit score, she also improves her way to manage her financial matters, and that's the biggest improvement there.
