Taking the time this morning to remember.

To remember those that were lost...

Those that were found...

Those that escaped...

Those that caused pain...

Those that brought relief...

Those that survived...

And those that perished.


Remembering how life could have gone different.

For the memories and all that they carry.
First I look up.. and then I remember.

And, when I'm done,
I kiss my kids on the head and remind them of my love and we begin to look ahead once again.

 

Written in honor of those lost on 9/11 and those that worked tirelessly in the rubble to save as many as they could.
