7 Comments on Speechless Sunday- VA Hospital in Loma Linda Has Gone to the Geese
Kristin, nice pics with the geese. I understand why you like those last two. How do they keep the grounds clean. Geese are beautiful, but very messy.
Cal
Hi Cal,
I do not know but it is spotless and the geese are happy. I did not bring any bread as I have heard it is not good to feed them as the bread can clog their system. I know we used to take my daughter there and feed them with cut up bread cubes but I guess that was not know then. These geese and ducks seem well fed.
They have great security there too and it was very impressive. While I was there a security guard on a Segway drove by and twice different security vehicles drove by. I felt very safe. Perhaps there is added security for the weekend due to 9-11.
Kristin, your walking environment this morining looks like a peaceful place for reflection on this September 11.
What a darling post, Kristin. You've captured the feel of these personable birds beautifully. They would probably make a fun video.
Hi Maria,
I was a quietly peaceful hike except the for noisy geese. They are so funny and you can tell they are trying to communicate. It is amazing how close they get to you also. I was probably within 6 feet of them at times and they do not seem to fear humans.
Hi Mimi, You are so right. I should go over there one day and take footage. I need to practice editing with my hand held video. I bought it in January and have done 2 videos and nothing else. No listings, no dogs, just my daughters graduation and one practice in my house.
Hope your weekend was delightful and thanks for the compliments. I always appreciate your kind words.
I love those knob-on-the-head geese. We have some around here and they are fun to watch, but the real fun is watching little kids feed them.
