Southwest Missouri in the fall is a wonderful place to be! The grass is still green, the sky still blue and the leaves are just starting to turn. The air is beginning to turn cool - sweater weather at night. Being outdoors is still a family affair - for all the right reasons: playing at the park, raking leaves, taking a hike or casting a line.

My daughter and I headed out to Bennett Springs State Park this past Sunday. I wanted to share just a few of the photos she took - ENJOY!

Howdy Debbie

These are some very nice photos taken at Bennett Spring State Park.

I sent you an invite to the Photography group. I think the folks there would like to see them also. I hope you will join the group. The folks have posted some very good photo.

Hi Debbie,

We love Bennet Springs. Stopped in a few months ago on our way down camping near the Black River.  But, the kids have been enjoying more fishing in the house practicing with there little fishing pools.  We put a little plastic fish on the end and my two year old has been casting towards his sisters head!

Debbie,

Thanks for sharing the pictures.  It brings back childhood memories of fishing at Noel, Missouri.  My mom and sister currently live in the very SW corner of MO, but they don't send pictures like this. :(

Boy does that look relaxing indeed, I understand why you love to live and work in Missouri, I can't blame you, thanks for showing us, rather than just telling us. Sounds like a Missouri tradition in fact - Lance

Thanks, Lance - even now, with no leaves on the trees and only catch/release I'm amazed at home many people still use the Park!
