Webinar Note Taking and Time Saving Tip

I was on another short sale webinar yesterday for 90 minutes. It was mainly about explaing to short sale buyers what is involved and what advice we should share about types of loans involved, when you can and can't ask for closing costs, and what is the max you should ask for, how much to offer, etc. It all sounds basic, but there are still many listing agents out there that just shouldn't be doing short sales. And there are many buyers that just shouldn't be thinking about buying a short sale. Sometimes it's easy to determine up front that there is just no sense in writing an offer on some properties, because the chances are low it will ever go anywhere. Certain questions to the listing agent usually reveals how much or how little they know about short sales. Anyway, my tip ( which many of you probably already know) is, when the webinar is either getting off topic when host throws in things, or answers questions from other agents on the webinar, or talks a little fast, or puts up charts that you would love to have a copy of, but you are unable to print the screen, and you can't right click and save the image on the screen, and you can't write fast enough, etc-( Don't you hate when they go on to the next chart while you're only half way through writing notes on the previous chart?) I finally grabbed my digital camera, and when each new chart came up, I just took a picture of my computer screen first. Then I went back to taking as many notes as possible. When the webinar was over, I just uploaded the pics to my computer and printed out the charts. ( Sometimes you have to email the pics to yourself, then print them out). I take my digital camera to classroom trainings as well just in case I need to take a picture of lots of notes a trainer wrote on the board. Hope this idea helps!

Jeff - good idea! I have taken to using my computer to take notes in Outlook, but I feel I miss some of the presentation that way; this could be a nice alternative.
