The Franklin, MA Department of Public Works is sponsoring a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, October 1st
(rain or shine) at the Recycling Center located at 455 Beaver St.
The collection day is for Franklin residents only. Tickets are $10 per vehicle and are required prior to the event.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Participation is limited to residents of Franklin, Mass. Positive proof of residence such as a driver’s license, tax bill, or other identification must be provided when pre-registering.
This is a non-commercial collection and is intended for household wastes only!
WHERE & WHEN?
Waste collection will take place at the Recycling Center located at 455 Beaver Street from the hours of 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 1, 2011. Those wishing to participate must purchase a ticket for $10/vehicle and schedule an appointment at the DPW office located at 257 Fisher St.
TRANSPORTATION TIPS:
Leave materials in original containers
Tighten caps and lids
Pack your vehicle and drive directly to the site
Pack containers in sturdy, upright boxes and pad with newspaper if necessary.
NEVER MIX CHEMICALS
NEVER SMOKE or eat while handling or transporting hazardous materials.
