The following numbers represent the Real Estate Market Review of homes sold for the first eight months of 2011 versus the same period in 2010 for Walnut Creek, CA.

Walnut Creek Median Home Prices

Keep in mind that real estate markets are local in nature and there will be micro markets in every town. Walnut Creek is holding steady in for the year over year comparison with single family homes showing a down-tick in unit sales and median price. Attached home sales have shown a bounce while the lower end sales are dragging down the overall price data.

Doug, I have dear friends who live fulltime in Walnut Creek in what I've heard is a stunning home, and they actually bought a lakefront property from me and they drive up here--she absolutely loves it here. What famous business is in Walnut Creek? That totally rings a bell for me..was it Kellogg's? Probably not...
