Real Estate and Earthquake Zones...Getting Prepared #1

By
Real Estate Agent with Aubrey and Associates Realty

There is so much information available to help you to be better prepared if you live in an earthquake zone.  This is the first of several posts on this subject.  None of this is an attempt to frighten anyone, nor is it meant to discourage you from living in an earthquake zone (that is if there is somewhere that isn't in an earthquake zone).  Most of this is pretty common sense, and there is nothing that is really difficult.  Here is the link to the blog:

Great information. I know that the folks along the East Coast were sure surprised several weeks ago by the unexpected earthquake and there a fault line that goes through there.

Christine, I was also surprised that there wasa  fault line there.  I knew that the West has many areas, but the East Coast has been so stable, that I took it for granted that there wasn't a fault there.

Good evening, Tony and Darcy. I really like the red rock formations out your way. They are so cool...

I choose an earthquake zone with the uncertainty of large earthquakes over the hurricane and tornado zones with the certain of annual preparation. Been through too many hurricanes.

I'm from Hawaii where there are frequent quakes. I would much rather experience an earthquake than a hurricane.

Russel, I am with you!  I can live with the once in a while versus the annual expectations!

Leolind, I would take Hawaii!
