Eyewitness report less than 1 hour ago: Between on Encina way between Secret and Chicago a minimum of 20 homes destroyed. The corner of Brookings and Whispering Pines all the homes on that corner are ok. Address 31928 Brookings ok. On Whispering Pines: 2413 2420 2415 2411 2409 2405 2401 2426 2438 2450 are all ok. 11 other homes in that stretch that are destroyed. 2413 had a car in the front that is destroyed. 2413 home is ok but the house is destroyed. Minimum of 26 homes destroyed on Deep Creek Drive. No specific addresses. Next stops will be: Heading towards Luring Pines behind the Club and look at Panorama and look at Old City Creek.

If you have pets left in your homes on the hill, go to Orange Show Fairgrounds to the animal control booth. They will go up and either collect the pet, or make sure there is food and water for several days.

Eyewitness report from the Pastor of the Calvery Chapel - Green Valley Lake - As you enter town first three home on south side along with Fox Lumber and the real estate office next door all destroyed. Heavy damage on Angeles and Falling Leaf. Estimated half the homes on Holcomb are lost.

Thanks for all of the updates. I have 2 sister-in-laws that line in Twin Peaks and one of their in-laws lives close to Lake Arrowhead. So far all of their homes are safe. Any info on infrastructure that has been damaged (gas lines, telephones lines, power poles, etc)?
I also hope all is well with you and your friends up there.
I don't even know what to say. I hope your family is safe. I saw Glenn Roberts, Jr. mention your updates on the Inman news site. Quite a fascinating look behind the scenes of the fires............
Wow, what a trip! i'm excited that 2401 is ok! my husband and i have been on the edge of our seats! we are very sorry to hear of our neighbors losses, of course. thank you so much for the info, honestly it is very stressful.
Thank you all for the well-wishes. Keep praying that they get the slide fire under control, it's still very strong and still very destructive. I truly pray that no more homes are lost. As a Realtor it hurts me to see people lose their homes that they've worked so hard on. So many homes in Running Springs are full-time homes, and these folks won't have a home to return to.
Lot of infrastructure has been dmaged. Lots of poles,downed power lines, open gas lines. It will take a while for cleanup and restructuring. Crestline was spared by the fire.
