31 Comments on Selling Your Home "IS" Stressful!
No matter how many times one has gone through the process, the stresses remain. A good real estate professional can reduce a big part of the stress!
Gary,
The better the plan, the more it helps reduce stress. Like any good team, you can have good results working together.

Gary, educating sellers with what to expect can help relieve a lot of stress. Good Post!
I have systems in place that allow for production results. When I take a listing, I have several things that go into play and within a day or two, we are out there full blast making things happen...Then, just answering my phone seals the deal after-wards...Systems work, experience works and people who know this do well...No learning curve on things this important. Get it done professionally
Very True, Gary! Stress is a necessary by-product of any sale. Being a partner with your client makes the stress level MUCH lower.

Nice Post Gary! As a home inspector, I know what the results of a buyers home inspection can do to a deal. But, if sellers would consider hiring a home inspector who does "Move In Certified" Seller Home Inspections, then, by fixing many of the items on the list, the seller has much less risk of a buyers inspection killing the deal. I would love to see this turn around and see more sellers protect themselves with a seller's inspection.
Selling as well as buying are stressful because so many things can end up being out of your control. A good plan certainly helps, but addressing new information thoroughly and promptly as it arises is key and understanding that even the best plan has to be prepared for flexibility to deal with the unknowns is also important. It's great when you can partner with your seller or buyer and go through the process with the same expectations of what it'll take to keep the stress to a minimum.
Gary,
Great post and great points about being stressed when selling. There are some that we cannot control but there are thing that we can control.
Selling your home is stressful! I think it is on the list of heart attack indicators. If it isn't it should be.
stressful for sure, they stress about the amount of showings, the offer that came in, the offer thats undercontract, where they are going to move to, when to move, when to pack and like your list shows above it never ends the whole process is a rollercoaster. thank you for the great post.
The fact that the llisting agreement is so many pages in and of itself...starts the stress!!
Good post, Gary and so right on the spot. Trust everything is going well in Grand Rapids.
Gary, great post and very much to the point.
Stress stress stress all around. Sellers these days are really pressured.
Gary - Selling a home is stressful, and you are right. There are ways to reduce it, and having a professional can be a big help.
Gary so true. This is why pricing a home right for a quick sale is so important!
Well....it is what it is. Stressful or not we'll all live through it. GOll with the punches and get the house sold.

Preparation is the key to alleviating stress, without a doubt.
Great post Gary. Communication is so important between all parties involved.
