Time for the ActiveRain Community to get back in and help the cause. Earlier in the year the Kilar Family tried to win a Pepsi Grant for a baseball field to honor the memory of their son, Treyton Kilar, who was killed in a tragic car crash.

They didn't make the grant that time, but through perseverance and a will to succeed, they've gotten back into the mix and are looking for support to get over the top this time.

The Family here in the Rain is always there for a good cause. Follow the link and vote for the grant. You can vote daily, so please keep the thought going.

We're Almost There,...

Okay, actually we have a long way to go yet but it is possible!

Treyton's Field Of Dreams,

Whitewater WI!

And you can help make it happen!

Click here to view Treyton's Field of Dreams Website to see exactly what this is all about and where we have to get to!

Last January, I posted several blogs about this Pepsi project.  Many worked hard to try to get as much publicity to this wonderful cause in remembrance of Treyton Kilar who was killed in a senseless car crash by a drunk driver on September 2, 2010.  The Kilar family fell just one place shy of receiving the money.

But that did not stop the Kilar family, actually just the opposite happened.  This created the impetis for that family to go forward with many events and fundraisers and they are almost there!

Here is how you can help the Kilar family as well as the entire community acheive Treyton's Dream;

Build Treyton's Field of Dreams, New Pepsi Challenge!
Just click on ^ this link and vote daily.

Even though the Kilar family did not win that challenge, I would like to take just a moment to thank the incredible efforts and help from many including my friends Ed Silva, Ellen Caruso, Tim Peterson, Amy Hahn, Rain Silverhawk, Kristin Johnston, Valerie Zinger Shirley Soforic, Tish Lloyd and many so many others who reblogged, tweeted, Facebooked and did everything they could to help me get the word out!

I cannot thank you all enough for all the help you gave me!

What an amazing community Active Rain is.

Good morning Ed,

Nice community blog, such a sad story for the family.  How wonderful to work towards a memorial for their son.

Ed, This is a dream that cannot only live on forever but bring awareness to so many youngsters that may be the future of other fund raising events for a cause.

Maybe they will have the.....they have it because they cared enough to go for it .

Great repost.

Enjoy the day
