You can't help but smile when you come across a field of Sunflowers as far as the eye can see.
Well smile you will when you drive to Rt 165 and Rt 23 in Jarretsville. According to an article in the Baltimore Sun, in 2009 the owner's of Clear Meadow Farm planted over 600 acres of sunflowers.
The field is across the road from the Jarretsville Pharmacy in Harford County, MD. Since then, it has become an annual destination of photographers, artists, and flower lovers.
After you see the sunflowers, stop in for a treat at Jarretsville Pharmacy. They have one of the last of the sit down ice cream counters. They are open weekdays 9 AM-9 PM, Saturday 9 AM-7 PM and Sunday from 9 AM-3 PM.
