Be sure to get the BEST DEALS in Oregon Acreage Real Estate

No one likes to over pay for anything, especially these days.  So how do you make sure you don't overpay for acreage real estate in Oregon? There are several steps you can take to prevent this from happening.

  • Clearly identify what type of property you want.  If a property is 1/2 price but only has 2 acres when you need 20, is it really a good deal for you?
  • Have your agent pull comps on the house you are considering making an offer
  • Have all of the inspections you can
  • Do you homework at the local planning/building office to see what you can find out about permits and zone changes

Catherine, great tips.  I would have to add that if you are wanting a horse property, it is best to find a Realtor that is a horse person.  Horse people are much better able to UNDERSTAND what a horse person is looking for and needs.
